I’m really happy today to welcome you to my blog page, The Buried Doctrine.

This blog very much lives as part of my published work, ‘The Corleone Christ’. A Crime and Conspiracy thriller. I’m proud to say Troubador Publishing Ltd took on and has placed with booksellers world-wide. At present it’s exclusively available on Amazon Kindle as an eBook; later, it will be published and available on all online retailers worldwide wide as an ebook. ‘The Corleone Christ’ can also be bought, Print on Demand and as a paperback.

I’m really looking forward to our conversations starting next week. I’m hoping to be posting weekly, every Sunday, at the moment. This is an exciting moment in the journey of this period of publishing.

‘The Buried Doctrine’ began its early life, just on a Facebook Blog Page. It’s another way of finding my novel, ‘The Corleone Christ’. I very much hope it leads you there to read and experience the beginning of a trilogy.

The question for me about the blog was, would it attract visitors, comments, engagements, and followers? A month later and ‘The Buried Doctrine’ has grown and has 1600 visitors after just a month and it’s growing in other areas. The numbers are growing every day! For this I have to thank an audience of Facebook Groups, who mostly accept my posting blogs and engage. These communities and groups are First Nation and indigenous people in the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia; they are worldwide environmental Facebook communities, and they are a wide range of Christian denominations. I’m very grateful to them all; long may it last.

From now on you’ll be able to find and access the up to date, full content of my library of ‘The Buried Doctrine’ on this website. I very much hope it will provide extra narratives, journeys, and pathways. My postings on my Facebook ‘Buried Doctrine’ page will continue to appear, but as shorter signposts to a more detailed message on my website.
The website also offers different information. My biography, the story about how I came to write ‘The Corleone Christ’ and some reviews established by readers. There is also a page to make purchases after you’ve visited.

I look forward to many more postings, many more conversations, and more debates with you all about the Stolen Generations, the Environment and the colonial corruption of the Christian faith. A heady brew.

‘The Buried Doctrine’ – First Nation people protecting the Amazon, biodiversity and their ancestral land.

In writing my Crime /Conspiracy novel, ‘The Corleone Christ’ I spent 5 years researching and reading before finalising my manuscript. As a work of fiction, it is underpinned by many references, including the work of First Nation authors and award-winning photographers recording the huge pressures illegal loggers, miners and drillers are exacting on indigenous people, the environment and biodiversity. At its heart, ‘The Corleone Christ’ speaks to these vital problems at a time when humans need to evolve, placing Mother Nature at the centre of our thinking and action.

In this blog I am sharing a YouTube link of some work undertaken by the BBC, (made after ‘The Corleone Christ’ was published, showing us the brave work of a group of ‘warrior’ First Nation women on the Rainforest frontline, risking their lives to protect their ancestral land and their biodiversity.

The following excerpt from my novel, like the YouTube clip, demonstrates the driving narrative of ‘The Corleone Christ’ regarding themes of the environment, First Nation people's vital role in protecting biodiversity and the ‘colonial’ attitudes of loggers and miners dominating nature as a commodity. The connection between between the European ‘colonial’ relationship to the land and nature as a commodity is so clearly described by the women narrating.

Excerpt; ‘The Corleone Christ’

This excerpt opens with John Green, an FBI Investigator, listening to Isaac talking about his sons visit to Amazonian First Nation people As John sat together with Isaac agreeing his ground rules, Kamama joined them.

“This time, this morning, Isaac, is yours. All I want is a couple of minutes. I just want to focus on what the ‘conspiracy’ will have known about now we know they were ‘listening’.

“Nothing I haven’t already told you, John. Isaac and Wohali needed academic references, they needed articles and the work of new indigenous authors across the American continent.”

Kamama gave John more insight into the advice and information she gave.

“I advised on educational video, documentary film, a bucket of things to watch. Isaac will confirm Wohali was growing, reading more and more; he was fast becoming a knowledgable leader and an activist.

“As we’ve said, Wohali was talking about searching out and collecting together the two hundred First Nation continental
representatives for the November 2 ‘Festival’ event. 

“He talked about things he saw and heard; First Nation people in the rainforest showed him how the colonial enemies were only interested in nature as a commodity; their whole activity was about finding and sucking out more and more products, scarring the forest, releasing carbon from the planet to burn.

“Wohali talked first hand about illegal logging, forest burning and mining and the search for minerals and gold. He had learnt much about processes, the poisoning of rivers and the food chain; how some First Nation people’s prenatal babies were affected. Wohali saw it, heard it and was changed by it.

“Wohali was being transformed from a hopeless addict into part of a new generation of First Nation activists; he was opening up, seeing the world around him for what it was. At the same time, he’d begun talking about wanting to live on the ‘front line’, living in the rainforest to help fulfil a practical mission for its protection: he talked of living inside nature himself; he’d told us he’d begun talking to Cary and Danuwoa, wanting them to go with him.”

John thanked Kamama for embellishing Wohali’s story.

“So, those ‘listening’ in were hearing all this?”

“Yeah. I guess they were, John. But we didn’t know they were listening. What were we supposed to do? Sit quietly and take no action? I still don’t think you get it. We saw everything so clearly in those days; we even watched video and film about how the deepest seabeds are being destroyed by machinery, drilling and vacuuming up minerals.

“Isaac will tell you. We understood that these human ‘Predators’ would never make the evolutionary leap without a
massive investment in aggressive international laws, policing and protecting of other ancestral lands. They’re still dominating, still destroying, John; still making a Hell on Earth for all peoples; taking powers over all the other species and their habitats.”

I hope this blog gives you a sense of ‘The Corleone Christ’ as a fictional drama inspired by research and real events that are part of First Nation peoples lives on the frontline.

‘The Buried Doctrine’ - listening to you, my ‘visitors’ and my ‘visitors’ of the future.

Firstly, congratulations together we are achieving 2-3000 visits to our blog page. I’m very grateful to all who have visited and hope more will come. THANK YOU ALL

I have been looking back through my blogs, some of them I really like; some even though they are dark, they honestly try to shed light into those opaque spaces and shadowed corners where evil lurks.

Some of the blogs, perhaps are trying too hard to cut through the ether of the internet, trying reach those individual people who are suffering as Stolen Children; still suffering from the  terrifying consequences of Climate Change events; people still suffering from their ancestral land being stolen by colonial ancestors, justified by the Catholic Doctrine of Discovery. I want to be clear, ‘The Corleone Christ’ is a Crime/Conspiracy novel in which tries to speak on these human themes.

‘The Buried Doctrine’ blog tries hard to reach out to your Facebook Groups across the world and then honestly knock on your ‘doors’ and ask you quiet but difficult questions. Over the last 5 years I’ve tried to take a shovel to unearth the evil in this ‘Buried Doctrine’ the best way I know how. If I can hand you the ‘shovel’ of ‘The Corleone Christ’ we can dig together. This one book isn’t perfect. But I need your help to dig out another two books.
It has struck me that I’m trying to meet you all across the Internet, but I don’t know you. None the less I feel you are my ‘visitors’; you are people who have responded to my passion for ‘The Corleone Christ’ and its themes. I am moved by your responses to these things I care deeply about.

The characters in ‘The Corleone Christ’ have lived with me for several years now. I have read and heard authors talk about characters in their work standing beside them, or looking over their shoulders as they write, sometimes changing the direction of their work.
I had the experience of trying to write ‘The Corleone Christ’ through first-person narration. Eventually, more and more, the characters ‘told’ me they felt suppressed and contained within one person's story. They made it clear they wanted to talk directly to you about their own stories, with honesty, being faithful to the lives they had lived.
At the heart of writing ‘The Corleone Christ’ it is a huge honour for me to think you, my ‘visitors’ could get to know characters like, Frank Denman, John Green, Cary and Isaac Lightfoot, and others. Then, there is my African American female lead, Phoenix Schultz, John Green’s Deputy. 

I know from my own reading, that you will understand them, maybe see them differently because they will speak in their own way to you; when you read you will see and feel different things because your own stories contain different personal experiences. As a writer, I really want you to read my work, talk about it, be moved by it and think about it.

• Secondly, I’m thinking I would like to establish a monthly ‘guest blog’ slot for registered members, again within the three core themes of ‘The Corleone Christ’.

‘The Buried Doctrine’, global warming and the dying coral reef.

When I researched and read for my Crime / Conspiracy novel ‘The Corleone Christ’ it almost goes without saying that I learnt, human communities are badly divided about what needs to be done to protect and healing the planet.

These divisions can be seen at the local level of say, between, illegal loggers and miners and First Nation peoples in Amazonia. Often it is local First Nation people who seek to protect natural world resources. At this level indigenous peoples are losing their lives in this battle.

At the other end of the human spectrum the differences between say, the Australian governmental policy on use of fossil fuels, and those people who are desperate to protect Australian Coral Reefs.

It is a fact that 90% of man-made global warming is happening in the oceans. Over recent months it is clear that the severity of the increase in warming is bleaching and killing the Great Barrier Reef and also the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia.
I’m combining three news links below which demonstrate the sharp divisions within Australia about the protection of the highly sensitive, biodiverse environment of the Coral Reef.

My Crime / Conspiracy thriller, ‘The Corleone Christ’ explores the dangerous interfaces between the different growing human forces and tensions, which can only increase and multiply.

There is no question the Earth speaks to us all, calls on us to stop the warming and start the cooling.

Us, as just a single species, has yet to evolve. 

We must stop the warfare.

We must stop looking at the melting ice and thinking about, ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’.
We must act together across the world to as one species, knowing only we can bring an end to our poisoning.
