“An excellent first novel.”
Conspiracy or crime thriller is not the first shelf I go to in the bookshop but I thoroughly enjoyed G J Manns The Corleone Christ. A fictional story of conspiracy moved along at a good pace by the engaging characters to its conclusion. The fiction is interwoven with the history of corrupted religious and political doctrines used to justify the land grabs and genocides of first Nation peoples across the world. A reminder perhaps of the heritage of the powerful forces that continue to contribute to the abuse of land and peoples and the earths resources across the planet. I recommend it.

I highly recommend this well researched book.
Not only does it have a fast moving intriguing plot containing strong believable characters, who are not shy of sharing their own vulnerabilities ; but it also has woven into it important issues concerning climate change and the historic and current treatment of indigenous communities, with the added bonus of a spiritual element.
Readers who pick The Corleone Christ for its thriller appeal are in for an informative treat .

Mrs W: ‘A book we should all read

This is an interesting and challenging read , as it informs the reader about historical injustices, in the framework of a conspiracy thriller.
I hope there is a follow up book, I would particularly like to know more about Isaac’s history and brutal childhood.

This powerful novel frames what is a deeply uncomfortable and challenging subject for many, in an exciting, tangible and gripping format. It’s an important read for anyone concerned about the massive injustices of humanity and our earth - and an important read for anyone who needs a nudge to remember these injustices. Highly recommend this book, and hope there’ll be another.
